- My tinybabymack is all the way weaned. We last nursed two weeks ago yesterday. It was hard for him during the weaning process – I hadn't really realized how easily and completely contented and comforted he was by breastfeeding – so when we were cutting down feedings and lengthening times between he'd tug on my shirt and cry and wonder why I wasn't just giving him what he really wanted. Today I sort of feel the process is complete because he's happy to go to sleep in my arms without shirt tugging, and he'll lay in my bed without writhing and crying. *sniffles* My boy is outgrowing babyhood!
- We're off to Priest Lake, Idaho for a bit more than a week. No internet connection, just blessed isolation. It's nearly a 900 mile drive, and I'm going to read HP7 to Blaine while we drive. We're looking forward to it BIG TIME. Ya'll take care of yourself while we're away!
Edit: Poor Blaine just had a few things to finish up at work; we knew he'd get home late, and were still planning to leave early – 6:00 am or so. Here it is 8:46 am and he hasn't yet left work, and he hasn't yet slept a wink. We're not sure we're going to get away today after all, but at most we'll be delayed a day – and if so, we'll take a day at the other end to make up for it. :D
