We had a lot of rain on Sunday—loved it, needed it—and the clouds have loitered around for a few days.
We just had our first autumn flurry of snow! For about 20 minutes it came down so thickly we couldn't see the mountains (which are only about five miles away) and our back lawn is a nice expanse of white with grass blades poking up through. It won't last. Out the schoolroom window I can see that it's already fading away off the grass, and the branches are drip drip dripping. But somehow the first snow of the season is still pretty cool. :)
